About Prime Agro-Feed

Built as a vertically integrated export platform.

From feed formulation to finished export shipment, Prime Agro-Feed Manufacturing PLC was founded to connect Ethiopian and Somali Regional State production directly to regional and Gulf demand.

Prime Agro-Feed Manufacturing PLC (PAM) is a diversified Ethiopian agribusiness founded in 2020. The enterprise was built around a simple premise: that livestock feed, protein production, grain trade, and export logistics perform better as one integrated operation than as separate businesses competing for the same margins.

Today PAM operates across the Somali Regional State and Oromia Region, with production and export activity reaching nine markets across the GCC, Europe, and North America — UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, England, Germany, Sweden, and the USA. Export earnings are reinvested into local operations, including fuel importing to support supply chain reliability in the regions PAM serves.

Integration

Feed, meat, grain, produce, and energy operate as one platform — not six separate businesses.

Regional roots

Operations grounded in the Somali Regional State and Oromia, built for the corridor to the coast.

Export discipline

Every division is built to meet the standards buyers in Djibouti, the Gulf, and East Africa require.

Our journey

From vision to regional powerhouse.

From a founding vision in 2020 to becoming one of Ethiopia's foremost agribusiness exporters, PAM has built a fully integrated agricultural enterprise in just six years — reflecting strategic planning, investment in quality, and a commitment to the communities it serves, from smallholder farmers across the Ethiopian highlands to premium buyers in the Gulf.

2020
The Vision
  • PAM founded in Addis Ababa by a team of agribusiness entrepreneurs with deep roots in livestock and commodity trading.
  • Initial business plan centred on Ethiopia's untapped potential as a premium halal meat and feed exporter to GCC markets.
  • First office established in Bole Sub-City; core management team of 12 professionals recruited across agriculture, logistics, and finance.
  • Seed capital secured from Ethiopian private investors and the diaspora community; founding mission — "Feeding Growth, Delivering Value Worldwide."
2020–2021
Building the Foundation
  • First AgroFeed manufacturing operations established in Addis Ababa, laying the groundwork for what is now PAM's 5,000-hectare irrigated farmland base.
  • Livestock sourcing network established across the Somali Regional State and Oromia Region.
  • Site development begins on what would become PAM's 48-hectare quarantine station in Jijiga — now one of the largest privately owned facilities of its kind in East Africa.
  • Early feed safety and quality standards adopted across manufacturing; first export trial shipment of chilled meat dispatched to a UAE buyer.
2022–2023
Growth & Market Entry
  • Meat processing operations achieve halal certification, unlocking a formal GCC export channel for chilled and frozen meat.
  • First commercial halal meat shipments dispatched to Saudi Arabia and UAE buyers.
  • Distribution relationships established with Land Of Bounty FZ-LLC (UAE) and United Universal Meat Trading & Foodstuff Co. (Kuwait).
  • Agro commodity trading formalised — grain, oilseed, and pulse export lines developed alongside the core feed and meat business.
  • Cold chain and logistics capacity expanded to support GCC-bound perishable exports.
2023–2024
GCC Expansion & Certification
  • Halal certification extended across additional GCC markets, broadening the export access that underpins PAM's presence across Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman today.
  • Distribution partnerships formalised with AL A Y A T Goods Wholesalers Co. LLC (Abu Dhabi, UAE), Alam Alghida Foodstuff LLC (Ajman, UAE), and Unity Wave General Trading Est. (Ajman, UAE).
  • The 48-hectare Jijiga quarantine station reaches full operational capacity, anchoring PAM's live-export and cold-chain compliance for cattle, sheep, goats, and camels.
  • Commodity partnerships extended beyond the Gulf, including Al Ayat Food Service (Doha, Qatar).
2025–Present
Regional Powerhouse
  • PAM's catalogue grows to 19 products across six categories — livestock, meat, feed, oilseeds and pulses, edible oils, and fodder.
  • Distribution network extends to United Universal Trading Est. (Saudi Arabia) and Qasre Al Neel Group Co. — SOGIK-Zakho Complexes (Iraq).
  • International partnership network established with Mazoon Fodder Co. (Oman), Swedes Agro-Core (Sweden), Farmers Market LLC (USA), Frankfurt Agro Import (Germany), and Organic Agro Limited (England).
  • Export footprint reaches nine markets across the GCC, Europe, and North America — UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, England, Germany, Sweden, and the USA.
  • Annualised export projections reach 60,000 MT/yr animal feed, 36,000 head/yr livestock, and 1,800 MT/yr meat.

From a founding team of 12 in 2020, PAM has grown into an integrated enterprise spanning 9 revenue streams, 5,000 hectares of irrigated farmland, a 48-hectare quarantine station, 19 export products, and 9 markets across the GCC, Europe, and North America.
